Request On Line

One of the dilemmas of performing is making sure that audiences get a good mix of new material I’d like them to hear and the older songs that have brought them back for more. Those of you who’ve spent an evening with me know that I open the second half of concerts up for requests, often coming back to a stage over-flowing with little slips of paper with hopeful (sometimes delightfully bribe-enhanced) suggestions.

Family shows often don’t have intermissions and some people just can’t make it up front during the interval. And, of course, failing memory and limited time often mean I don’t perform those songs some people most hope to hear. So, in an effort to get some advance warning on those songs whose lyrics I need to bone up on, we’re opening a new feature called “Request On Line.” Simply click on the button and fill in the city, date and song information. No promises, but I’ll do my best to play what you pay to hear. I’ll still take your suggestions during intermissions, but, hopefully, this will give us all some additional chances to score.

If you have concerns about what we do with the information you give us, read our Privacy Statement. (You don't have to worry.)
